Harbour Town Premium Outlets Gold Coast has achieved its highest-ever ranking in the Shopping Centre News (SCN) Big Guns report, securing 5th place out of 86 centres nationwide in the 2025 rankings.

In a retail landscape characterised by economic challenges including elevated living costs and fluctuating consumer confidence, the premium outlet destination has successfully countered broader market trends, delivering growth across all retail metrics – Moving Annual Turnover, Specialty Sales and Traffic.

Lewis Land CEO Brett Draffen said the achievement reflects the company’s strategic focus on delivering exceptional value to shoppers.

“This achievement reflects our strategic focus on delivering value when customers need it most,” Mr Draffen said. “Over the past year, the centre has introduced a range of new retailers, including an expanded offering of quality Australian designers and premium lifestyle brands, meeting demand from both locals and tourists who include Harbour Town as an essential part of their Gold Coast experience.”

“I would like to acknowledge our retail partners and our hard-working Harbour Town Premium Outlets team for their roles in this achievement.”

The SCN Big Guns report is an annual industry benchmark that ranks Australia’s top performing shopping centres based on multiple performance indicators including sales metrics, traffic, and overall centre performance.

Harbour Town Gold Coast’s impressive ranking comes following the completion of a significant mall upgrade that has enhanced the shopping experience for visitors.

“Looking ahead, we’re continuing to evolve the premium outlet experience beyond traditional discount shopping,” Mr Draffen added. “With our enhanced mix of entertainment, essential services, and casual dining including the popular Harbour Town Eats precinct, we’re giving customers more reasons to visit while still delivering the exceptional value they expect.”

Planning is now underway for exciting new developments for the centre in 2025 and beyond, highlighting our commitment to creating extraordinary places that set new benchmarks in retail.
