Harbour Shores Named Silver Winner at the BETTER FUTURE World Design Awards 2026
Mar 18 2026
Lewis Land’s Harbour Shores has been recognised on the world stage, taking home a Silver Award at the 2026 BETTER FUTURE World Design Awards in the category of NEXT Futures: Environmental Sustainability.
Presented by one of the world’s most respected design programs, the World Design Awards celebrate excellence across architecture, urban planning, and sustainability. Recognition in the Environmental Sustainability category reflects the depth of thinking and rigour of execution that has defined Harbour Shores from the outset.
This world-stage win builds on a strong run of accolades — including a Gold at the 2025 Better Future Sydney Design Awards and a Silver at the 2026 Better Future Australian Design Awards, both in Environmental Sustainability. Together, these honours establish Harbour Shores as a nationally and globally recognised benchmark in sustainable community design.
Fossil-Free by Design
Harbour Shores was conceived as a fossil-free master planned community — a standard that goes far beyond conventional green building practice. Located on the Biggera Waters waterfront on Queensland’s Gold Coast, the development integrates renewable energy infrastructure, biodiversity-positive landscaping, and community-centred urban design. The result is a living environment that supports ecological health, reduces residents’ environmental impact, and reimagines what it means to live well.
