Environment
Committed to a sustainable future, Lewis Land is charting a roadmap to measure, reduce and eliminate negative environmental impacts, with the goal of creating resilient assets that deliver both financial performance and environmental outcomes.
We are setting a new benchmark for sustainable communities on the Gold Coast with our master plan development Harbour Shores proudly holding a 6-Star Green Star rating, receiving the highest number of points (84) ever achieved under the Green Building Council of Australia’s Green Star Communities certification scheme.
Our robust strategy includes….
- Developing renewable energy generation and storage capability
- Reducing energy consumption
- Increasing material diversion from landfill through recycling initiatives
- Delivering Green Star projects
Active collaboration with government bodies ensures our ongoing compliance, and the continual enhancement of our systems.
Social
Lewis Land has developed a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) with Reconciliation Australia – developing positive relationships with Indigenous communities, promoting diversity and inclusion, and incorporating meaningful initiatives across all our assets.
We understand that true reconciliation starts with active engagement. In developing our RAP, we met with local First Nations people to listen to their perspectives, traditions and local knowledge.
Governance
The expertise and industry knowledge of our dynamic Senior Management team provides indispensable leadership support for every team across our assets.
This includes working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of our projects on time, within targets and in line with governance policies.
Although Lewis Land is a private company, our Governance policies mirror those of publicly listed companies.
