Harbour Town Gold Coast hits $600 Million in Annual Retail Sales
Oct 14 2025
Harbour Town Premium Outlets Gold Coast has achieved record-breaking annual retail sales exceeding $600 million for the 12 months ending September 2025, marking the strongest performance in the shopping centre’s 26-year history.
The Gold Coast retail destination attracted more than ten million shoppers during this period, driven by strong local demand, domestic tourism, and a significant increase in international visitors seeking premium outlet shopping experiences.
Harbour Town Premium Outlets is Australia’s first and largest outdoor outlet shopping centre, featuring 220+ stores across 55,000 square metres in Gold Coast, Queensland. The centre offers premium and everyday brands at outlet prices, complemented by the alfresco dining precinct, Harbour Town Eats.
Lewis Land CEO Brett Draffen attributed the milestone to sustained consumer demand for value-driven shopping. “Shoppers are seeking exceptional value and quality brands, and Harbour Town continues to deliver,” Mr Draffen said. “This result demonstrates the strength of outlet retailing in Australia and our ongoing commitment to enhancing the customer experience.”
Co-owners Lewis Land and Vicinity Centres have jointly managed Harbour Town since forming their partnership in 2021. Vicinity Centres’ Director of Property Management, Rosemary Condron-Calic, highlighted the partnership’s strategic approach to growth.
“Our ability to attract new brands and create engaging shopping experiences is driving sustained growth and reinforcing Harbour Town’s reputation as a must-visit retail destination on the Gold Coast,” Ms Condron-Calic said.
Over the past 12 months, Harbour Town has welcomed ten new stores and supported the expansion of five existing retailers. In addition, Harbour Town completed a $7 million Convenience Mall upgrade in late 2024, revitalising the Southern Mall from JB Hi-Fi to the Fruit Market and the area adjacent to the Harbour Town Eats water fountain. The development rejuvenated the centre’s oldest section, harmonising it with the modern, biophilic design elements seen throughout the open-air precinct. The upgrade introduced two new dining and food kiosks, revitalised flooring, enhanced landscaping, expanded seating and shade, and a picturesque courtyard outside Woolworths.
